Dr. Acuña received his Ph.D. from Ohio State University and joined the faculty in 2022. His research answers questions at the intersection of development and labor economics. By combining empirical methods and stylized models, his research aims to understand the causes and consequences of people’s decision to migrate and policy-relevant issues linked to development, corruption, violence, and institutions.
